ABOUT PEGGY

Leadership that Listens.

I came to know our great town through my husband David, a Madison native.  Together we chose to make it our home by moving from New York City and buying the Lyons family home in 2007, which they have had in the family for nearly 60 years.  After lots of renovations, children, and many different volunteer roles in our community, I've grown to love Madison’s unique New England character, history, and community—I feel lucky to be raising our family here. Our children attend Madison's excellent public schools.

Prior to my time as your First Selectman, I served on Madison’s Police Commission and Madison’s Board of Finance and Economic Development Commission, and ever since making Madison our home, I've been actively involved in many aspects of our community. I'm still an active school mom, and I am privileged to have served our town in many volunteer roles.

My professional background provided the right skill set we needed to confront the coronavirus and tackle residents' challenges during our most difficult time in history. I completed my undergraduate degree at Cornell University and my MBA at The Wharton School of Business. As a former finance professional, I spent seventeen years solving complex strategic and financial problems for companies both large and small. I have experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic planning. This included over eleven years on Wall Street at major investment banks Merrill Lynch and UBS, and more recently, executive positions at Deloitte and GE.
